Animated film ‘Appu’ review: Young elephant braves all odds

The most awaited animated film ‘Appu‘ will hit the theatres on April 19 this year. The film will be released in Hindi and English to cater to a diverse audience. Prosenjit Ganguly, Ajay Velu, and Archisman Kar direct the film. Suresh Raheja, Suraj Raheja, and Sanjay Raheja are the producers of the film.

The animated film ‘Appu’ is an adaptation of the Appu series franchise on YouTube. The viewers immensely love the series; its YouTube channel has millions of subscribers.


The movie’s official synopsis read, “A determined young elephant Appu must brave all odds, cross the ocean, penetrate a deadly forest, and discover his true powers to rescue his father from the clutches of notorious poachers. For company, he has a talkative pet dog Tiger, and a fugitive little girl Neena. #ElephantLivesMatter”
