Made by Google Pixel 9 Launch Event: Everything To Know

Tech giant Google held its ninth edition of the Made By Google event on August 13, which saw the unveiling of the Pixel 9 lineup and updates on Google’s other devices.

Let’s take a look at all the major announcements made at the event:

Google Pixel 9

The Google Pixel 9 has a 6.3-inch display in a fresh style, including an enlarged, oval-shaped camera bar. It also has the latest Tensor G4 CPU and 12GB RAM.

Google Pixel 9 Pro

The Pixel 9 Pro features a smaller 6.3-inch display than the XL model but retains the same triple camera arrangement, including a 48MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL

The Pixel 9 Pro XL features a bigger 6.8-inch display and a 5,060 mAh battery. It also has the same camera setup and new AI features as the Pixel 9 Pro.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has an 8-inch main display and a 6.3-inch cover screen. Its triple cameras include a 48MP primary camera, 10.5MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom.

New AI Features

The new Pixel devices also feature Google’s AI assistant, Gemini. The company launched two new AI apps- Pixel Studio, a text-to-image generator, and Pixel Screenshots, which allows the new Pixel phones to search for information from your screenshots.

Google Pixel Watch 3

Google’s third-generation smartwatch, Pixel Watch 3, will be available in two sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm. It offers a thinner bezel to provide more screen real estate and includes a new ultra-wideband processor and a brighter display that can reach 2,000 nits.

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

Google has introduced a new pair of wireless earbuds nearly two years after the launch of its first one. Pixel Buds Pro 2 will have a much smaller and lighter package, an 11-millimeter driver, and a new Tensor A1 chip for noise cancellation.

Google Gemini

The new voice chat option allows users to ask Google’s AI assistant questions aloud and receive responses in one of ten distinct voices. Like ChatGPT’s voice assistant, Gemini Live will enable you to interact naturally and even interrupt it in the middle of a sentence.
