Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana Women To Get Rs. 1500 Every Month, Know Details Here

On August 17, the Maharashtra government will inaugurate its flagship project, ‘Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana’. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared that under this plan, more than one crore women in the state will receive Rs 1,500 per month as direct financial assistance.

The flagship initiative is modeled after the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’, previously executed by the Madhya Pradesh government under Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, integrated the Maharashtra program into the supplementary budget. The scheme is projected to have an annual allocation of Rs. 46,000 crores.

Economic Times reported that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed trial payments under the plan and said, “We have lived up to our promise. We said we would transfer Rs 3,000 (for two months) to women beneficiaries whose bank details have been verified.”

Who all are eligible for Ladki Bahin Yojana?

  • Women residents of Maharashtra can apply online for this initiative.
  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Maharashtra.
  • The applicant should be between 21 and 65 years old.
  • All married, unmarried, abandoned, divorced, and destitute women are eligible.
  • Applicants are required to have a bank account in any bank under their name.
  • The applicant’s family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

How to apply for the scheme?

Online

The Maharashtra government has launched a mobile application called Nari Shakti Doot App to help citizens enrol in the program. This app allows users to register beneficiaries for the campaign. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and can be downloaded from the Play Store and App Store. The program facilitates online registration for the Mukyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana.

When filling out the application, the applicant must ensure that their name, address, and date of birth match the details on the Aadhar Card. Bank details and mobile numbers must also be filled in accurately.

Who can disqualify you from the scheme?

  • Those whose combined annual family income exceeds Rs. 2.50 lakh
  • The ones whose family member is an income taxpayer
  • Those whose family members work in a government department, undertaking, or board of government of India or local body of the state government as regular/permanent employees or draw pension after retirement. Although Rs. Outsourced employees, voluntary workers, and contract workers earning up to Rs 2.50 lakh will be eligible.
  • Those whose family member is a present or former MP / MLA
  • The ones whose family member is Chairman/Vice-Chairman/Director/Member of Board/Corporation/Undertaking of Government of India or State Government.
  • The ones who possess a four-wheeler (excluding tractors) registered in the names of family members.

The eligible women mentioned will benefit from the Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana launched by the Maharashtra Government, which will provide them with Rs. 1500/—or more each month starting August 17.
