Nepal Bus Tragedy: 14 Dead After Indian Passenger Bus Plunges into River

An Indian-registered passenger bus carrying approximately 40 people plunged into the Marsyangdi River in Nepal’s Tanahun district. As a result, at least 14 lives were lost, and 16 others sustained injuries. The bus was en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu when the tragedy occurred.

As of the latest reports, there were 16 survivors from the Nepal bus tragedy. These survivors are receiving medical attention for their injuries.

The bus, with the number plate UP (Uttar Pradesh) FT 7623, met with the unfortunate incident in the Tanahun district near Aaina Pahara.

Rescue operations are underway, led by a team of 45 police officers under the command of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Madhav Paudel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School. The Indian travelers were staying at the Majheri Resort in Pokhara, and the ill-fated journey began on a Friday morning.
