On the other hand, Dayanand (played by SJ Suryah) is a notorious and feared police officer and is equally hot-headed.
Unlike Surya, Daya vents his anger on the unfortunate residents of Sokulapalem. Driven by his sense of justice, Surya decides to face Dayanand, sparking an intense conflict that serves as the film’s central plot point.
Reviews
1. The Indian Express describes the film as a tried-and-tested masala entertainer powered by Nani and SJ Suryah. While it follows the familiar beats of a one-man-against-the-system story, director Vivek Athreya adds a twist, and writing flourishes to keep it engaging. The film is neatly divided into chapters, and how Surya’s anger is unveiled on Saturdays adds a layer of intrigue. It’s not groundbreaking, but it delivers what mass masala films promise.
2. 123తెలుగు.com praises standout performances by Nani and SJ Suryah in this enjoyable action drama. However, the slow narrative in parts and an extended first half slightly diminish its impact.
3. Conversely, Deccan Chronicle suggests that the film disappoints due to its wafer-thin plot and dreary narration, despite Nani’s effort in an anger-driven role.
