Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to a hospital early Tuesday morning after sustaining an accidental bullet injury to his leg. The incident occurred at his Juhu residence while the actor checked his licensed revolver before leaving for Kolkata.
According to sources close to the actor, the revolver accidentally fell from his hand and misfired, causing the injury. “It was a shocking moment for everyone present,” said a family member who wished to remain anonymous. “Govinda was simply checking his revolver when it slipped and went off. We are all relieved that the injury is not life-threatening.”
Govinda’s spokesperson updated his condition, stating, “Govinda is currently under medical supervision and expected to fully recover. He is in good spirits and appreciates the outpouring of support from his fans and well-wishers.”
The actor, known for his vibrant personality and numerous hit films, was reportedly preparing for a trip to Kolkata for a film shoot. “He was excited about the project and looking forward to starting work,” said a close friend. “This incident has been a setback, but knowing Govinda, he’ll bounce back stronger.”

Mumbai police have confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway. “We have recorded statements from those present at the scene and are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure all protocols were followed,” said a police official.
