Florida’s Hurricane Milton Victims to Receive Federal Stimulus in 34 Counties

Florida residents in 34 counties, including the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians, can now apply for disaster assistance following Hurricane Milton’s devastating impact. This announcement comes as federal and state agencies continue to assess the damage and extend support to affected areas.

President Joe Biden has approved a Major Disaster Declaration for Florida, unlocking federal funds to aid in recovery efforts1. This declaration allows homeowners and renters in the designated areas to apply for various forms of assistance, including temporary housing, home repairs, and other disaster-related expenses.
