Directed by Masaharu Take, best known for his work on “The Naked Director,” the series stars Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu, the legendary yakuza with a heart of gold. Takeuchi’s portrayal of Kiryu promises to bring the character’s depth and intensity to life, capturing the essence of the beloved game protagonist.

A Tale of Two Eras

The narrative spans two pivotal periods: 1995 and 2005. In 1995, Kiryu and his friends, Nishiki, Yumi, and Miho, plan a heist at a local arcade, only to be entangled with the powerful Dojima Family.

Fast-forward to 2005, when Kiryu is released from prison, he returns to Kamurocho to protect his friends. He is now caught in the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance crossfire.
