Odisha Chhatra Congress Files FIR Against Actor Buddhaditya Mohanty Over Controversial Social Media Post

The Odisha Chhatra Congress has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Ollywood actor Buddhaditya Mohanty, following a controversial social media post that has sparked widespread outrage. The FIR was lodged at the Capital Police Station under the leadership of Udit Narayan Pradhan, President of the Student Wing of the Congress party in Odisha.

In his now-deleted Facebook post, Mohanty allegedly suggested that after the killing of Baba Siddique, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s next targets should be senior Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi. The post read: “Germany had the Gestapo… Israel has the Mossad… USA has the CIA… now India has Lawrence Bishnoi… next in the list should be Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi.”

The post quickly became a topic of heated debate on various social media platforms, leading to calls for Mohanty’s arrest. In response to the backlash, Mohanty apologised on Facebook, stating, “My last post regarding Rahul Gandhiji was never to target, harm, or demean him in any way. If I unintentionally affected anyone’s sentiments, my intention was not this. I offer my sincere apologies.”
