The Tamil Nadu Victory Party (TVK) held an important executive committee meeting today, November 3, 2024, at its headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai. The party’s leader, actor Vijay, presided over the meeting and discussed various strategic plans and organizational movements with key party officials.
The next Tamil Nadu legislative assembly election is anticipated to take place in April–May 2026.
In the last assembly elections, the DMK won 133 seats on its own, gaining a total majority in the sixteenth Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. The SPA alliance, which includes the DMK, won 159 seats. And the BJP-NDA alliance won 75 seats, with the AIADMK securing 66 of those.
Leadership and Strategy:
Vijay emphasized the importance of strengthening the party’s internal structure and outlined the next steps for expanding TVK’s influence across Tamil Nadu.
Resolutions Passed:
The committee deliberated on and passed 20 crucial resolutions to enhance the party’s operational efficiency and public outreach.

Future Plans:
Discussions included Vijay’s upcoming statewide tour to engage with grassroots supporters and bolster the party’s presence in various districts.

TVK faces stiff competition from well-established parties like DMK and AIADMK, which have deep-rooted support bases and extensive political machinery.
