MMS films supposedly starring Pakistani celebrities have been making the rounds on the internet in recent months. However, most of them have turned out to be fake. Someone has published the private footage of renowned Pakistani news anchor Mona Alam online. It makes her the most recent victim of this evil tendency. Mona is well-known for hosting Hum News’ Question Hour with Mona Alam. Recently responded to someone posting a reportedly graphic video on X (previously Twitter).
Mona’s Response
Mona wrote that this woman’s objectionable video is being spread by petty haters on social media. It is claiming it’s me posting a screenshot of the alleged MMS video. In response to the allegations, she released a real photo of the woman. She explained that the person in the video was a known criminal.
Someone also uploaded a copy of Mona’s police complaint regarding the MMS video’s distribution. She stressed in her message that her character is spotless, and all those campaigning against it will face the music!
The complaint included links to social media posts that incorrectly connected her to the graphic video. Someone sent it to the Additional Director of the Federal Investigation Agency Cyber Crime in Islamabad. Mona disclosed that someone sent the fake film to a few senior journalists through WhatsApp to further propagate the misleading narrative.

A larger trend of character assassination attempts directed at Pakistani celebrities includes this occurrence. People have made similar accusations against well-known individuals like Maryam Faisal, Kanwal Aftab, Minahil Malik, Mathira Mohammad, and Imsha Rehman. Many of them have openly denied the legitimacy of the videos linked to them.
