Tiwari shared her encounter during a press conference, stating, “We met two men posing as mule handlers during our family trip to Pahalgam. They pressured us to go to Baisaran Valley and misbehaved, criticizing us for not knowing the Quran.” She revealed that their behavior made her uncomfortable, prompting her to secretly record videos of the suspects.
“Two unknown men came along with the mule handler. They started asking me about Ajmer. I told them I had never been there. Then they began questioning me about Amarnath Yatra – how many people had come, what our religion was, etc. I was scared and didn’t reveal the truth. They also asked personal questions about my husband and marriage. Then they asked if I read the Quran and what religion I follow more. One even claimed to be a Quran teacher,” she recalled.

Authorities Investigate Ekta Tiwari’s Inputs
Following the release of sketches by authorities, Tiwari recognized one of the suspects and immediately reported her findings. She registered her inputs with the CM Helpline and informed a relative in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Law enforcement officials are analyzing the recorded videos as part of their investigation into the terror attack, reported News18.

The April 22 attack, which is one of the deadliest in recent years, targeted civilians and security personnel in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Among the victims were a young Navy officer, an Intelligence Bureau official, and two foreign nationals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the attack, promising swift action against those responsible.

Tiwari’s revelation has raised concerns about individuals with extremist ideologies mingling with tourists. Community leaders have emphasized the importance of staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity. “Such incidents highlight the need for proactive measures to ensure public safety,” an official stated.
