‘The Last Of Us’ is back with another banger season, and it’s not looking good for the fans. With two episodes already aired, fans have had a good taste of what this season is going to be like. And we’d say, it’s going to be brutal.

‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 Plot & Spoilers

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, The Last Of Us follows Joel Miller and Ellie, who try to survive in a dangerous world. Pedro Pascal, plays Joel, while Bella Ramsey is seen as Ellie in the show.

The second season begins with 19-year-old Ellie who encounters a threat. Half a decade following that Salt Lake City accident, the stakes have now risen and the chances of survival looks bleak.

The Second Episode, titled Through The Valley, follows Joel rescuing Abby from the infected; however, it’s not as simple as that.

Daughter of the doctor Joel killed, Abby is hungry for revenge. And so she does what any revenge-seeking person does.

She lures Joel into a trap and moves on to shooting him in the leg. And if that wasn’t satisfying enough for her, she brutally beats him to a pulp. Her weapon of choice – a golf club.

Thankfully, he isn’t alone. Ellie has his back and tracks him down to the place where he is being held captive. But before she can taste victory, she gets herself captured and is forced to watch Abby inflict pain on the man who turned into a father figure for her. Abby, mercilessly delivers the final blow to Joel and manages to kill him, once and for all.

‘The Last Of Us’ – What Are The Viewers Saying?

Although the show is based on a video game, it doesn’t make it easier for either the new or the old fans who have come after playing the game. The death of Joel, the role that pushed Pedro Pascal to superstardom, was surprising to everyone watching the show.

According to Craig Mazin, creator of the show, Abby has to go too far for the sake of the plot. In the second episode, we get to see Abby breaking the club and sticking the broken piece into Joel’s neck, showing that there’s justice and then there’s this other thing. However, this isn’t a revenge show, so will Ellie do exactly what Abby did or will she choose to handle her grief differently?
