
The romantic comedy anime “Toumei Otoko to Ningen Onna” (The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife) has officially announced its main cast, key staff, and a revised premiere date, confirming its arrival in 2026. The series was originally expected to debut in 2025 but has been rescheduled by the production team.
Directed by Mitsuho Seta, known for scripting “Futari Solo Camp”, the anime will be produced by Project No.9, a studio recognized for delivering emotionally rich and visually appealing romcoms.
The adaptation is based on a webcomic created by Iwatobineko, which first gained attention in 2021 for its heartwarming and quirky premise. The manga has since been published by Futabasha, with Seven Seas Entertainment handling the English release.

Leading the voice cast, Yuka Nukui will take on the role of Shizuka Yakou, a blind receptionist with a kind and calm demeanor.
Opposite her, Youhei Azakami will play Akira Tounome, a gentlemanly detective with one unusual trait he is invisible. Their odd-couple dynamic lies at the heart of the story, which blends workplace comedy with slow-burn romance.
The production team also includes character designer Kairi Unabara, suit supervisor Youichi Kadono, sound director Nozomi Nakatani, and composer Ruka Kawada, known for her work in “Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi”.
Together, the team aims to deliver a refreshing take on office romance with supernatural charm.
