Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy marked the harvest festival of Sankranti 2026 by hosting more than 600 specially-abled employees from BESCOM and KPTCL, along with their families, at his farmhouse in Bidadi. The gathering reflected his commitment to inclusivity and compassion, as he welcomed them for the seventh consecutive year.

Speaking about the occasion, Kumaraswamy expressed his gratitude: “I feel deeply blessed. With every opportunity given by God, I was able to provide support to many families with special needs. Serving them is nothing less than serving God.” His words highlighted the spiritual and social values that guide his annual tradition.

The minister compared the festival’s traditional offering of sesame and jaggery to symbols of happiness, peace, and prosperity. Seven Years of Tradition

For seven years in a row, Kumaraswamy has opened his farmhouse to specially-abled employees and their families, creating a space of joy and togetherness. According to Manga Mogura RE, his Sankranti message emphasized love, trust, and affection shared between him and the community.
