HUBBALLI: The cultural landscape of Hubballi is set to dazzle this February as the city prepares for the much-awaited ‘Dharwad MP Cultural Festival-2026’. Organized under the leadership of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, the event will feature an International Kite Festival and a grand musical performance by legendary playback singer, Padma Shri Sonu Nigam.

A Sky Full of Colors: International Kite Festival

On February 7th and 8th, the skies over Hubballi will transform into a vibrant canvas. Professional kite flyers from across the globe and various parts of India are expected to participate, showcasing massive, uniquely shaped kites. This two-day extravaganza aims to bring the community together and put Hubballi on the international map for cultural tourism.

The Magic of Sonu Nigam

The highlight of the festival will be the live-in-concert by the “Lord of Chords,” Sonu Nigam, on the evening of February 8th. Known for his soulful voice that has won millions of hearts, the Padma Shri awardee will perform his greatest hits in Kannada and Hindi.

The concert is scheduled to take place at the massive grounds near Oxford College on Kusugal Road. Given the singer’s massive fan base in North Karnataka, authorities are expecting a record-breaking turnout.

MP Pralhad Joshi Extends Invitation

Taking to social media, MP Pralhad Joshi invited the citizens to be a part of this celebration. “Join us in the festivities of the Dharwad MP Cultural Festival in our Hubballi. Let us celebrate our culture and art together,” he stated.
