Narendra Modi to be India’s next Prime Minister: US President Obama calls up to congratulate

Although the Election Commission is yet to declare the mandate officially, the current position and counting of Lok Sabha election results shows a clear win for the Modi-led NDA, which is set to form the government.

Since 1984, this is the largest win for BJP and allies and the worst defeat for Congress.

Celebrations have already begun in BJP headquarters as the current tally shows the NDA getting majority with no shortage whatsoever.

BJP and its allies have won on total of 170 seats for now and is already leading in 166 seats, taking the magical figure to astounding 337.

Congress on the other hand has won a total of miserable 21 seats and is currently leading at 39, taking the tally to just 60 seats. Insiders even predict the same can go even down as the counting finishes.

BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has won from both Vadodara and Varanasi, where in the latter he has defeated AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal by a big margin.

Congress’s rahul Gandhi is still leading ahead of Smriti Irani (BJP )and Kumar Vishwas (AAP), while party president Sonia Gandhi has won from Rae Bareli. Salman Khurshid is trailing in Farrukhabad,

Most BJP party veterans have won their respective seats, including L.K.Advani (Ahmadabad), Rajnath Singh (Lucknow), Sushma Swaraj (Vidisha).

The only unexpected loss for BJP was for Arun Jaitley, who has lost to Amarinder Singh in Amritsar.

BJP’s Harsh Vardhan wins by more than 1 lakh votes in Delhi defeating Kapil Sibal. O Rajagopal is leading over Shashi Tharoor in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram.

BJP has gained gigantic in states in like UP, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka, Kerela, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra among others. For the first time, BJP has won all 26 states in Gujarat.
