A leading newspaper had reported that Sussanne Khan’s extreme closeness with Arjun had resulted in a fallout between the best friends – Mehr Jesia (wife of Arjun Rampal) and Sussanne Khan. This news story agitated both Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal.
The article reported that “despite their constant denial, there was increasing fondness growing between Arjun Rampal and Sussanne Khan.
The two traveled abroad, to spend time with each other. While Sussanne and Arjun denied about such link-ups, Mehr was miffed with their closeness.”
Arjun took to the social networking site, Twitter where he tweeted – “Bombay Times, who paid you? Who are these faceless accusers? If you have the guts reveal them first. Stay away from me and my family”
Hrithik too supported his ex-wife Sussanne by tweeting: “If u people knew hw much false news is printed, d papers would actually stop selling. I am disgusted 2day…”
This incident put question marks on the ethics of Journalism. The article had no substantial evidence to prove the existence of a relationship between Arjun and Sussanne.
Ever since, Sussanne Roshan had parted ways with her ex-husband Hrithik Roshan, she had been in the news for alleged link-ups with Rampal.
Such gossip-oriented news stories churning out from a leading daily newspaper is hampering the image of Print Journalism where the families of the celebrities have to pay a heavy price for false stories.
