Multiple reports in the media suggested that results for CAT 2014 exam will be out very soon.
CAT or Common Admission Test allows candidates to apply for the Indian Institutes of Management branches, as well as, the various private institutes that consider the CAT score.
While the exact official date of the CAT results 2014 is yet to be declared, reports suggested the results will be available around third week of December. Other unconfirmed news suggested the results will be out on December 20, 2014.

This year, the CAT exam was taken between November 16 and November 22, 2014.
There were 100 questions that candidates needed to answer, and for each one, there are three points awarded. The total score for CAT 2014 is 300.
The two sections of CAT 2014 had 50 questions each, which include Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability, while there are also questions related to Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.
While there will be no negative marking for questions that are left unanswered, but for every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
A new process of normalization will be application to the CAT scoring system, which will adjust for scale and location differences of score distributions. The new scaled scores will be then converted into percentiles, which will be used for short listing candidates.
Normalization process is not very new and is used for competitive exams such as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or Gate.
