Much acclaimed and loved Telugu actor Ahuti Prasad passed away on Sunday morning i.e. January 4, 2015 at a private hospital in Hyderabad at a relatively young age of 62.
Ahuti Prasad aka Adusumilli Janardhan Vara Prasad was not keeping well in recent days and was undergoing treatment for the last few months.
Many Telugu celebrities paid their last rites to Ahuti Prasad at his residence in Hyderabad.
He was much famed in the Telugu industry and started his career with the film “Vikram”, which also marked the debut of actor Nagarjuna.
The actor was then offered a role by producer Shyam Prasad for his film “Aahuti”, which went on to become a milestone in his career and he got the screen name “Aahuti”.
Prasad was also famed for his villain and comedian roles and had received the Nandi Award for his villain role in the film “Nenu Ninnu Premistunnanu” in 2003. He also had won an award for the movie “Chandamama”, which released in 2008.
Industry reports suggested that the actor was under treatment for colon cancer and was not keeping very well. He was being treated for his condition.
Prasad had also appeared in “Sooryavansham” for a small part, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan.
His roles have been varied and he has worked in close to 100 films in his career. His talent as an actor will be always talked about.
He is survived by his wife and sons. He has two sons- Karthik and Bharani.
