The IPL 2023 will be the 16th edition of the tournament and will feature some of the best players from across the globe.
The IPL 2023 is expected to start in April and end in May, with 60 matches to be played. The venues for the IPL 2023 are yet to be finalized, but some of the matches will likely be held in the UAE, as it was the case in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The date and time of each match were announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Teams and Captains
The eight teams that will participate in the IPL 2023 are:
– Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni
– Delhi Capitals (DC), led by Rishabh Pant
– Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), led by Eoin Morgan
– Mumbai Indians (MI), led by Rohit Sharma
– Punjab Kings (PBKS), led by KL Rahul
– Rajasthan Royals (RR), led by Sanju Samson
– Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Virat Kohli
– Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), led by Kane Williamson
Format and Points Table
The IPL 2023 will follow the same format as the previous editions. The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four based on their rankings in the last season.
Each team will play seven matches in their group and seven games against teams from the other group.
The top four teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs, consisting of two qualifiers, an eliminator, and a final.
The points table will be updated after each match based on the following criteria:
– Win: 2 points
– Tie or No Result: 1 point each
– Loss: 0 points
In case of a tie in points between two or more teams, the following factors will be used to determine their rankings:
– Net Run Rate (NRR)
– Head-to-head record
– Number of wins
– Number of losses

Key Players to Watch Out For
The IPL 2023 will showcase some of the finest talents in cricket, both domestic and international. Some of the key players to watch out for are:
