Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year 3' on OTT; Shanaya Kapoor to be Launched

Shanaya Kapoor to be launched by Karan Johar in the OTT space along with the Disney+Hotstar’s Student of the Year 3 which is set to begin production later this year.

Previously In 2012, the famous actor cum director Karan Johar released the movie “Student of the year” Which was a high-school romantic comedy and introduced the talented trio of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra with his high-school romantic comedy. Being a huge box office success and was turned into a franchise seven years later with “Student Of The Year 2” which featured Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria and was directed by Puneet Malhotra.

As per the reports it has been informed that Karan Johar is surely turning the “Student of the Year” movie franchise into a web series in partnership with Disney+Hotstar.

It has also been reported that Karan Johar will be continuing Dharma’s tradition of introducing a new talent with the franchise. This time it has been revealed that Karan Johar is launching Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor in the series.

Although Shanaya Kapoor has already made her acting debut in Mohanlal’s “Vrishabha”, “Student of the Year 3” will mark her entry into the OTT world.

According to the sources, the project is currently in a writing stage and is said to be released till the end of this year. The plot and the other details concerning the series have not been revealed yet but it has been confirmed by the sources that the work has been going on continuously in a very productive manner. at Dharma’s digital content arm, Dharmatic Entertainment.

Details regarding the director of the series have also not been shared yet but it is said that the director of the show will most probably be finalised within a month.

“Student of the Year 3” Of Dhramatic Entertainment’s is the second supposed project with Disney+Hotstar with “Student of the Year ” being the second Hindi Film to enter into the OTT platform.
