Grammy Awards 2016 was over, and there was no dearth of excitements as well as crazy moments. The 58th Grammy Awards was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 15, 2016.
Staples Center, which is a sports arena in downtown Los Angeles, was suitably pruned for the grand event.
The Grammy Awards were conceived to honor musical accomplishments by music performers, and the first event was held on May 4, 1959. Number Grammy Award categories were overhauled in 2012.
The Grammy Awards 2016 was kicked off in with the world premiere performance “Out of the Woods”, a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
The song was written by Swift and Jack Antonoff. While many were enamored by her vocals, Swift herself was dissatisfied and was seen wiping her tears and telling fellow singer Selena Gomez that she did not get her vocals right.
English singer and songwriter Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was spotted singing along to Swift’s 1989 ballads with a big smile on her face. Incidentally, Adele had the best time ever even without a single nomination this year.
Adele was also enjoying The Weekend song “Can’t Feel My Face”. She has seen lip syncing with the Canadian singer’s song from his second studio album “Beauty behind Madness” and was seen boisterously applauding the singer along with the audience.
Prolific songwriter Lionel Richie, who wrote such memorable songs in the past like “Lady” and “Hello” was honored with a special musical tribute which moved Lionel Richie into tears.
One of his biggest hits, Hello was performed by stars of the present day by Demi Lovato among others. Demi Lovato was one of the few who paid tribute to the 66 years old legend at the 58Th Grammy Awards in Los Angles on Monday Night.
