Sadiq Saleem shared a video juxtaposing Radhika’s speech with Susan Sarandon’s monologue from the film ‘Shall We Dance?’ and said, “We don’t stalk; we investigate. They could have called me, and I would have changed the wordings for them in a few crores.”
The video gathered over 50,000 likes and comments on Instagram and became viral. The video became a sensation amongst the netizens prompting them to offer their opinions and views regarding the video.
Netizens’ reaction
Many people supported Radhika saying there is nothing wrong in quoting your favorite lines from a movie and expressing it for your partner, especially if those lines resonate with your viewpoint. On the other hand, many people ridiculed her for being a copycat and said that one’s wedding speech should come from their heart and not be copied.
One user wrote – “Even chatbot would have done a better job at writing.” Another added, “Ha ha ha. That’s quite a catch by the internet. After making the entire world feel inferior with their ridiculous expense, we finally realize that the Ambani family is one of our own.” Another user expressed, “Maybe that’s her favorite movie and her favorite dialogue… the thing that’s bothering me is not her speech but the chemistry between the two. It feels like a debate competition.”
