‘Stree 2’ Set to Stream on Netflix from September 27

Fans of the horror-comedy genre have a reason to celebrate as the much-anticipated sequel, “Stree 2”, is set to premiere on Netflix on September 27, 2024.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Maddock Films and Jio Studios, “Stree 2” continues the eerie yet humorous saga that began with the 2018 hit, “Stree.”

The film features an ensemble cast including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar, all reprising their roles from the original.

“Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank” picks up the story in the haunted town of Chanderi, where the residents face a new supernatural threat known as Sarkata.

The film follows Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) as they team up with Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi) and Stree (Shraddha Kapoor) to uncover the mystery behind Sarkata, the dangerous seven-foot tall headless monster. The group must navigate through a series of eerie and comedic events to protect their town and loved ones from this new evil.

The film hit theaters on August 15, 2024, and has already garnered box office success, crossing the ₹600 crore mark domestically.
