The much-awaited trailer for “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina,” released Friday, promises to be a thrilling addition to the John Wick universe. Starring the talented Ana de Armas, the film will hit theaters on June 6, 2025.
In this spinoff, de Armas plays Rooney, a young assassin trained by the same crime family that adopted John Wick.
With intense action sequences and a gripping storyline, “Ballerina” is set between the events of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and “John Wick: Chapter 4”.
The trailer opens with a haunting scene of a young Rooney, covered in blood, cradling a spinning ballerina figurine. This sets the tone for a dark, gritty narrative in which Rooney is whisked away into a world of intense training and deadly missions.
The film also features appearances from Keanu Reeves, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, and the late Lance Reddick in his final screen role.
In this John Wick series, fans can expect the same stylish action and intricate world-building that has made the franchise a global phenomenon. As Rooney navigates the dangerous underworld, she must “improvise, adapt, and cheat” to survive and exact her revenge.
