First Installment of Free Gas Cylinders Delivered Under Annapurna Scheme: Ajit Pawar
The Maharashtra state government has successfully delivered the first installment of free gas cylinders under the Annapurna Scheme to eligible families. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar shared this news on Twitter.
Ajit Pawar tweeted, “It is a matter of great joy that the first installment of free gas cylinders has been delivered to eligible families under the Annapurna Scheme. This government is committed to empowering and benefiting our sisters and homemakers!”
The scheme aims to provide free gas cylinders to economically weaker sections, reducing the need for cooking on traditional stoves and improving women’s health outcomes.

Approximately 5.2 million families are expected to benefit from this initiative. Emphasizing the scheme’s importance, Ajit Pawar stated, “This scheme is crucial for the empowerment of women and improving their standard of living.”
Under the scheme, beneficiaries will receive three free gas cylinders annually. To qualify, beneficiaries must have a valid ration card, and the gas connection must be registered in the name of a woman in the household.
This decision by the state government is expected to provide financial relief to women and positively change their lives.
