The members of Hubli Knights Ladies Circle 143 (HKLC 143) recently organized an educational visit to The Karnataka Khadi Gramodyoga Samyukta Sangha in Bengeri, Hubli, India’s sole National Flag Manufacturing Unit.
The event, held as part of the Republic Day celebrations, aimed to instill values of patriotism, responsibility, and respect for the nation’s heritage among the young Twinklers (children of Circle members).
Educational Visit to National Flag Manufacturing Unit
On January 4, 2025, the Hubli Knights Ladies Circle 143 (HKLC 143), led by Area Twinkler convenor Cr Sakina Abbas and Circle Chairperson Cr Poonam Bhutada, organized a visit to The Karnataka Khadi Gramodyoga Samyukta Sangha in Bengeri, Hubli. This unit is renowned as India’s only National Flag Manufacturing Unit.
Cr Poonam Bhutada, Circle Chairperson, HKLC 143 said, “Our visit to the National Flag Manufacturing Unit was an inspiring experience for both the children and their mothers. It was heartwarming to see the young Twinklers learn about the importance of our national flag and the values of patriotism and responsibility. We are grateful to the staff for their warm hospitality and insightful guidance, making this visit truly memorable.”
Celebrating Republic Day with Twinklers
The visit was part of the Republic Day celebrations and gave the Twinklers a unique learning experience.
The children and their mothers learned about the intricate process of manufacturing the Indian National Flag, fostering a sense of patriotism and responsibility.
