Shannon Sharpe Admits Offering Money to Settle Rape Claims

Big revelations keep coming in as the 56-year-old American football tight end faces the law, complicating things further for all the parties involved.

It’s no news that at the beginning, Sharpe denied all the rape allegations and tried to prove he was not guilty of anything but it seems all his innocence was just that, an act.

Shannon Sharpe – Recent Updates

Recently, an audio has been released that exposes an explicit conversation between Shannon Sharpe and his accuser. In the audio, he can be heard saying vulgar things to the woman.

The horrible details of the audio are too shameful to be repeated; however, according to Sharpe, he believes he has a right to defend himself because none of it is right.

He took over his social media platforms to share his thoughts, pressing on the notion that he is being targeted and falsely accused of things that didn’t happen.

The audio was revealed shortly after the woman filed a $50M lawsuit against him, and it doesn’t play in Sharpe’s favour who can be heard saying he’s going to choke her.

What’s Sharpe Saying About The Case

According to Sharpe, this is all part of a huge plot planned by Tony Buzbee, who has targeted Jay-Z. Furthermore, he directly addressed Buzbee and asked him to put the whole video out instead of sharing bits of it. He also added that Buzbee is manipulating the media and targeting high-profile Black men. The woman and Buzbee want $50 million, but instead, they’ll be getting sued for defamation, said the man.

The woman sued Sharpe for sexual assault, harassment, and battery in a $50M civil lawsuit, but on Monday afternoon, Sharpe released a statement denying the allegations.

On Tuesday afternoon, Sharpe posted a video message, saying he’ll be fighting back against these claims by counterclaiming against both the plaintiff and the lawyer. Sharpe’s lawyer stands with him, addressing the matter by saying the woman will get a judgment against her in a court of law.

However, it was soon discovered that Shannon had nearly paid $10M to resolve the matter quietly, and the news came directly from his lawyer. Davis, Sharpe’s lawyer, revealed that the case came up as a surprise to them. He further emphasized that an offer was made to settle things privately, which was ultimately rejected.

Seeing the narrative the two men have been painting till now, this huge revelation complicates things for Sharpe because if he wasn’t guilty, then why had he tried to pay her off? And furthermore, if it’s his lawyer revealing these things, how much of it is true?
