One of the most significant decisions taken during the meeting was to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a new scheme that will bring water directly from the Almatti Dam to Vijayapura city. This project is expected to provide a permanent solution to the recurring summer shortages and meet the needs of the rapidly expanding urban population.
