A stroke of luck has turned one fortunate individual into a millionaire overnight. The West Virginia Lottery has confirmed that a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers from Saturday night’s draw—5, 20, 28, 39, and 42—but missed out on the Powerball number 13. The Powerplay option was not selected, meaning the prize remained at its original amount.
As of now, the winner has not come forward to claim their prize. The West Virginia Lottery has urged the ticket holder to sign the back of the ticket and contact their office at 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim their winnings.
Meanwhile, the current Powerball jackpot continues to climb, sitting at a staggering $93 million.
The Mardi Gras Casino, known for its lively atmosphere and gaming excitement, has now added another chapter to its history—one that will forever be remembered by the lucky winner.
Could this be the start of a life-changing journey for the mystery millionaire? Only time will tell.
Would you ever try your luck with the lottery?
