Trainers around the world are diving into Pokémon GO Fest 2025, and one of the biggest highlights is the debut of Crowned Sword Zacian in five-star raids. This powerful Fairy/Steel-type Legendary Pokémon is making waves with its high CP, elite moveset, and limited-time availability.
According to Pokémon GO Hub Crowned Sword Zacian is appearing globally in raids from June 28–29, offering players a rare chance to battle and catch this apex-tier attacker. Once caught, Zacian reverts to its Hero of Many Battles form, but players can use 1,000 Crowned Sword Energy to transform it back.

Best Counters for Crowned Sword Zacian Raids
Crowned Sword Zacian is weak only to Fire and Ground-type moves, making it a tough opponent. Its resistance to Dragon-type attacks is especially notable, reducing their effectiveness to just 25%.
Top counters include:
- Primal Groudon with Mud Shot and Precipice Blades
- Mega Charizard Y with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
- Shadow Heatran with Fire Spin and Magma Storm
- Mega Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earth Power
Even budget-friendly options like Delphox and Skeledirge can be effective if they know Community Day-exclusive moves like Blast Burn.
Raid Strategy and CP Targets
To defeat Crowned Sword Zacian, at least three high-level trainers with top-tier counters are recommended. For lower-level players, a group of five to eight is safer.
After the raid, players will encounter the standard Zacian form. Look for these 100% IV CP values:
- 2188 CP (non-boosted)
- 2735 CP (weather-boosted)
Sunny weather boosts Ground and Fire moves, giving trainers a tactical edge.
