Expelled RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav visited Anushka Yadav, the woman at the center of the controversy that led to his ouster from both the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and his family.
Speaking to reporters outside the residence, Tej Pratap said, “We share a family bond, which is why I am here to meet my sister. Of course, no one can stop me from meeting my own family.”
The visit comes weeks after a viral social media post from Tej Pratap’s verified account claimed a 12-year relationship with Anushka, sparking a political storm. The post, which included a photo of the two, was initially dismissed by Tej Pratap as the result of a hacked account—but he later admitted to sharing it himself, stating, “I fell in love; I don’t believe I did anything wrong”.
Fallout and Expulsion
RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav responded by expelling his eldest son from both the party and the family for six years, citing “irresponsible behavior” and a breach of moral values. The move was seen as an attempt to contain damage ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Anushka’s brother, Akash Yadav, has also spoken out, defending his sister’s dignity and criticizing the political fallout as unjustified.
Political Future Uncertain
Despite the expulsion, Tej Pratap has remained defiant, hinting at a political comeback and maintaining that his bond with the people of Bihar remains unbroken. He has also shared glimpses of conversations with Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, fueling speculation about his next move.
