Hubballi is lacing up for a massive fitness push as the Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate and Dharwad District Police join forces for the “Police Marathon 2026.” We saw the city gear up for this major event under the proud banner of “Namma Police Namma Hemme” (Our Police, Our Pride), set to kick off at 7:00 AM on March 1, 2026.

The mission is clear. Our sources confirmed that the marathon aims to spread critical awareness about “Fitness for All,” a “Drug-Free Karnataka,” and “Cyber Crime Awareness” among the local youth and citizens.

Where is the starting line?

Tholankere is the place to be. We saw the beautiful lakefront designated as the official starting point for both the 5K and 10K categories, providing a scenic backdrop for the runners.

Pure community spirit. We talked to organizers who expect a 100% turnout from local schools, colleges, and running clubs to support the department’s outreach initiative.

How can you participate in the run?

Registration is now open. According to the Hubballi-Dharwad Police social media updates https://hubballidharwadpolice.gov.in/.

One specific detail anchors the event: the 10K run is designed for serious athletes, while the 5K “Fun Run” is open to families and beginners. We saw that special arrangements for hydration and medical aid have been placed at every 2-kilometer marker. The police department is inviting everyone to “Come and Participate” to show solidarity with the force while building a healthier, safer city.

A city in motion. With hundreds already signed up, March 1st promises to be a landmark day for the twin cities’ fitness culture and public safety awareness.
