Staff found her unresponsive in her room on February 4, just one week after admission. A nurse performed CPR before paramedics arrived, and the extended lack of oxygen caused what her family’s lawsuit calls “irreversible brain damage” .
Family Describes Life-Altering Impact
Willis, now 27, cannot move independently and requires round-the-clock care at her mother’s home in Utah. Her attorney, James A. Morris Jr., said in a court declaration that she is “effectively frozen,” though she occasionally opens her eyes.
Attorneys initially sought $1.2 million in fees before reducing that figure to $1 million, clearing the path for settlement. Willis will reportedly receive close to $1.25 million after fees and liens are deducted.
The case had been headed to trial on May 6, 2026, before both sides reached an agreement instead. Summit Malibu denied wrongdoing throughout the litigation, arguing Willis repeatedly declined hospital transport and medical recommendations during her stay.
Willis built a prominent career in adult entertainment before the incident, earning multiple industry awards. Her case has since drawn attention across entertainment and legal reporting circles as a broader conversation around rehab facility oversight and duty of care continues.
