The “Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” – Remastered lands Tuesday, September 29, 2026, as a free upgrade for owners of the base game. We saw CD Projekt Red post updated PC specs and official patch notes a day before launch. Our sources in the Google News cluster said the remaster also ships as a paid product on Battle.net for the first time.
Platforms are PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Warsaw time is 12:00 CEST. That puts many U.S. players in the early morning. Steam, PS5, and Xbox downloads sit near 45 GB. Switch 2 is listed near 50 GB as a separate SKU.
Minimum PC play is Windows 11, a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT-class card, 12 GB of RAM, and an SSD. Recommended 1080p/60 asks for an RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600 XT. Path tracing at 4K with DLSS and frame generation is built around an RTX 5080. IGN flagged about 30 fps on an RTX 5080 if frame generation is off.
CDPR says the remaster changes visuals and some gameplay systems, not just textures. Early reviews and hands-on notes call the lighting a leap and the combat still dated. Patch notes are up on the official Witcher site before the servers flip.

‘Witcher 3 Remastered’: Specs, Patch Notes, and Launch Window
Quest director Paweł Sasko pointed fans to first reviews and the “out tomorrow” clock. Save transfer is documented for players moving an old run into the remaster. Windows 10 is no longer the supported test OS; CDPR says older installs may still boot but are not guaranteed.
Use an official store client to grab the upgrade. Check GPU drivers before you queue the 45 GB patch. Full spec tables sit on CDPR’s PC requirements post and thewitcher.ly links shared by the studio account.
