SAVADATTI (BELAGAVI): Savadatti Yellamma MLA Vishwas Vaidya joined Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait in Kadabi village to inaugurate a newly built Jamia Masjid, a Kabarstan (burial ground), and an Eidgah prayer site on October 4, 2026..

The three facilities were built to serve the growing needs of the local Muslim community in Kadabi, a prominent village in Savadatti taluk. Community members and local leaders had been working on securing land and funding for the project over recent years.

Joint Inauguration and Public Gathering

MLA Vishwas Vaidya and MLA Asif Sait formally opened the premises during a morning ceremony. Speaking at the venue, both lawmakers congratulated the residents and project committee for completing the construction through local collaboration.

Our sources informed us during addressing the gathering, the leaders noted that public facilities like mosques, schools, and community grounds play an important role in bringing rural neighborhoods together and fostering local harmony.

Religious elders, village panchayat members, and local residents from Kadabi and nearby settlements attended the opening event. The ceremony concluded with inaugural prayers and a community lunch organized by the village committee.

New Facilities for Daily and Festive Prayers

The new Jamia Masjid gives villagers a larger space for daily and Friday Jummah prayers. The newly designated Eidgah ground will host big crowds during Eid festivals each year. Along with these, the developed Kabarstan provides a secure burial ground for local families in Kadabi.
