Chinese robotics companies will likely draw attention at Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon. While AI chatbots continue to dominate headlines, many visitors are expected to take a closer look at robots that can walk, move and perform real-world tasks.
Several Chinese firms will attend the event, including AgiBot, Unitree, Galbot and Pony.ai. Their growing presence shows how quickly China has expanded its footprint in robotics, autonomous systems and artificial intelligence.
The official Web Summit website lists executives from several Chinese technology companies among this year’s speakers. In addition, companies such as Xiaomi, Tencent, MiniMax and Manus AI are expected to participate.
Robots Move Into the Spotlight
This year, robots are moving beyond exhibition booths. Web Summit has included some robots in its featured lineup.
The event has listed AgiBot’s A3 humanoid robot and Galbot’s G1 robot among the participants. Just a few years ago, companies mainly used robots for demonstrations. Today, technology firms discuss robots more often as AI and automation become bigger business priorities.
For example, many technology companies now focus on machines that can perform physical tasks. These include warehouse robots, delivery systems, factory automation tools and service robots.
China Expands Its Presence
Chinese companies have increased their investment in robotics over the past few years. As a result, several firms now compete in areas such as humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles and AI software.
Unitree is known for its robot dogs and humanoid machines. Meanwhile, Pony.ai focuses on autonomous driving technology. Several other companies at the summit develop AI models, robotics platforms and consumer technology products.
Organizers say the event aims to connect technology companies with investors, partners and customers from around the world. At the same time, the summit gives startups a chance to introduce new products to a global audience.
For visitors, the attraction may not be another chatbot or image generator. Instead, some of the biggest crowds could gather around robots that move, respond and interact with people.
