Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan latest movie “Dhoom: 3” has taken the box-office by storm already. As of Tuesday, the movie collected Rs. 233.57 crore worldwide.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collections on his personal Twitter account that the worldwide total of the movie is already 233.57 cr. In UK , the movie collected Rs 13.32 cr, in Australia Rs 6.35 cr and in New Zealand Rs 1.68 cr. In India, the grand total collections for Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions stood around Rs 174.97 cr nett.
The movie has already smashed opening day and weekend collections records of “Chennai Express” and Hrithik Roshan’s “Krrish 3”. In Karachi, “Dhoom: 3” opened in 56 screens and collected around Rs 20 million on opening day, shattering recent record of Rs 11.4 million set by Pakistani movie “Waar” on its opening day. Multiplexes in Karachi are in fact running the movie all their screens with five shows per day on each screen which is unheard till date in the Pakistani film industry.
“Dhoom 3” is expected to record more collections owing to the holiday weekend and New Year holidays. Industry estimates that “Dhoom 3” may cross the Rs. 300 crore mark at the box-office, a first for a Bollywood movie. In just five days the movie is already highest Bollywood grosser in Australia and New Zealand.
