Bhoothnath returns gets positive reviews for Amitabh Bachchan

Indian political comedy, “Bhoothnath Returns” has released wordwide on April 11, 2013. The movie is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by T-Series along with BR Films.

A sequel to the 2008 film “Bhoothnath”, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and child actor Parth Bhalerao. The film also has cameo appearances of Shahrukh Khan, Anurag Kshyap and Ranbir Kapoor.

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh composed a song “Party with the Bhootnath”. But it is Meet Bros Anjjan and Palash Muchhal composition of ‘Party To Banti Hai’ sung by Mika Singh that has been topping the chart busters.

The sequel movie has a ghost contesting elections and it seemed right time due to the ongoing elections. The first day opening of “Bhoothnath Returns” was decent with around 40 – 50 % occupancy making a business of around 7-9 Crores.

The movie had a simultaneous release in Pakistan too. With no other Hindi release, “Bhoothnath Returns” is expected to collect a total of Rs 25 crores in total.

Film critic Rajeev Masand wrote that the movie has uneven writing but still the film works because it has heart. He rated the movie three out of five stars. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the movie 3.5 stars.
