‘2 States’ entertains youngsters; Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt appreciated

Hindi Romantic comedy “2 States” has released on April 18, 2014. The movie starring young actors Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with actresses Amrita Singh and Revathy in supporting roles along with Ronit Roy and Shiv Subrahmaniyam.

Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Dharma Productions with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, “2 States” is based on a novel written by Chetan Bhagat of the same name. The movie has a running time of 150 mins with music composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Famous critic Subhash K. Jha gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars and said that you wish that the movie wouldn’t end. Taran Adarsh strongly recommended the movie saying it is one of the finest movies to come out of late in the Hindi film industry.

The audience reaction ranged from loving to boring. While some were disappointed comparing with the book, some found the movie better. Mr Bhagat was seen enthusiastically tweeting throughout and thanking audience for the movie success.

“2 States” opened to high occupancies of 60% in multiplexes and the morning shows registered 3rd Highest opening of 2014 behind “Jai Ho” and “Gunday”. The first day collections are estimated between Rs 9-10 crores.
