‘Hate Story 2’ review, trailer and box office report

Hindi erotic thriller film “Hate Story 2” directed by Vishal Pandya has released on July 18, 2014. The movie is produced by audio company T-Series Films.

The movie stars TV actors Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali making their Bollywood debut. Suvreen is a well known face in Punjabi movies also while Jay has been a successful host on various reality shows. He proved his dancing skills by winning “Nach Baliye” with his wife.

Actor Sushant Singh plays a powerful negative role in the movie. “Hate story 2” is a sequel to the 2012 hit movie “Hate Story” that starred Paoli Dam and Gulshan Devaiya. The movie has nothing to do with its predecessor except the genre.

Within 10 days of its release, the trailer had crossed 7 million views. “Baby doll” fame actress Sunny Leone once again teamed up with composers by Meet Bros Anjjan for a special song “Pink Lips”. All the songs of the movie have been well received by the audience.

The trailer had been criticised for the bold scenes and explicit content which were cut from airing in the trailer and music videos on TV channels. A song “Aaj PhirTum Pe” from 1988 film “Dayavan” has been re-created in the film and has become very popular in Arijit Singh’s voice.

Also releasing along with “Hate Story 2” are two more movies “Amit Sahni Ki List” and “Pizza 3D”. Romantic comedy movie “Amit Sahni Ki List” starring comedian Vir Das is directed by Ajay Bhuyan. Supernatural thriller “Pizza 3D”, a remake of Tamil thriller is written and directed by debutant, Akshay Akkineni and features Akshay Oberoi and Parvathy Omanakuttan along with Dipannita Sharma and Arunoday Singh.

It will be interesting to see which movie will click among the audience as previous week releases “Lai Bhaari” (Marathi) and “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” are doing well.
