The movie falls short of Salman’s highest grosser “Ek Tha Tiger” which had a Rs 30 crore opening in India. However “Kick” managed to become highest grosser of 2014.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted box-office figures of “Kick” in India and overseas. In USA and Canada it had recorded highest overseas gross for a Salman Khan movie.

“Kick” had stiff competition from a regional film “Lai Bhaari” in Maharashtra. Interestingly this Riteish Deshmukh movie also has a Salman Khan special appearance and despite its release two weeks back it has managed to get 100% occupancy.
India’s Film Trade Magazine, “Box Office” India, reported that “Kick” had steady collections on Saturday also. Released across 5000 screens, “Kick” had the biggest opening of Hindi movies and received average reviews among critics.
Actor Nawazuddin Siddique’s negative role had been widely appreciated and actress Jacqueline shines in her glamorous role. Salman was appreciated in this movie better than his previous outings “Ready” and “Jai Ho”.
