India overpowered Australia in the second Test of the 2023 series between the two countries, taking a 2-0 lead in the four-match series.
India’s bowlers were the day’s heroes, taking all 10 Australian wickets in the first innings and then bowling out the visitors for just 181 in the second. This gave India a massive lead of 393 runs, enough for the hosts to cruise to victory.
The Indian batting line-up made light work of the Australian bowling attack, with captain Virat Kohli leading from the front with a brilliant century. He was ably supported by Rohit Sharma, who made a fluent half-century, and Ajinkya Rahane, who scored a crucial fifty.

The Australian bowling attack could not contain the Indian batters, with only Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon managing to take wickets. The rest of the episode could not make any impression on the Indian batting line-up, except for Mitchell Starc, who took two wickets.
The Indian bowlers then put in a fine display to bowl out the Australians for just 181 in the second innings. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin were the picks of the bowlers, taking three wickets each. Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav took two wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with one.
