‘Fortnite’ Unveils Star Wars Collaboration With Anakin Skywalker

The creator of Fortnite, Epic Games, has hinted at its upcoming significant Star Wars crossover, which will most noticeably see the appearance of a skin linked with Anakin Skywalker. In the past, Star Wars has worked with Fortnite more frequently than any other franchise, introducing figures like Kylo Ren, The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, and Han Solo to the battle royale game. This pattern will now resume as Fortnite tries to include more representation from the time of the Clone Wars.

Fornite And Star Wars Collaboration

A blaster, Star Wars challenges, and character skins were all added to the game as a result of the event from the previous year. To advertise The Rise of Skywalker, the very first Fortnite x Star Wars merger made its appearance at the end of 2019, and it has since become an annual tradition. The release of Fortnite update 24.30 was postponed to make room for the collab that will go live on Thursday, May 4. However, the update is still expected to arrive on a Tuesday as usual.

Anakin Skywalker Skin In Fortnite

Epic Games offered fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Fortnite skin for Anakin Skywalker this morning via social media. Anakin looks similar to how he did in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith here, which is perhaps to be expected. In addition, he has his recognizable lightsaber on his belt and is shown with a separate blue saber in his left hand. Epic Games announced that Anakin will debut in the Fortnite item shop on May 2nd, which is within the next week. We have yet to determine what else Epic may have planned for this new Star Wars event besides this.

The fact that Epic has referred to Anakin’s inclusion in Fortnite as an “experience” suggests that there is undoubtedly more that the developer is holding back for the moment. Anakin is probably not the only fresh skin that will soon be added to Fortnite, based on past leaks related to the game. Particularly, it appears that the game will receive at least two new Star Wars skins. Although Epic has not officially confirmed anything, some fans believe that the second skin that will be released this month may be for Emperor Palpatine reports comicbook.com.
