Airtel today, on May 9, stated that it had reached 2 million 5G consumers in Mumbai since its introduction in October of last year.
5G Coverage Of Airtel
The 5G network covers the whole city, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Mira-Bhayandar, and other areas.
All of the city’s central business areas, including BKC, Nariman Point, and Lower Parel, provide Airtel 5G Plus, enabling companies to take advantage of the superfast, seamless connection of the 5G network.
Customers may use Airtel 5G services when visiting essential tourist destinations like the historic Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, Marine Drive, Bandra-Worli Sea-link, Juhu Beach, and other well-known areas in the city.
Residential areas and educational sites in the city, including the University of Mumbai, IIT Mumbai, and TISS, have also been linked by Airtel.
The Total Users
Recently, Airtel announced that its 5G service is now accessible in more than 3000 cities and towns nationwide. The company’s 5G network already has more than 10 million unique customers nationwide after surpassing the 1 million milestone in less than 30 days of debut.
Airtel has promised to cover every town and important rural region in India by September 2023, and it is now adding 30 to 40 new cities and towns daily.
According to the business, Mumbai is the first city in the nation to have 5G coverage in every one of its cities and talukas.
Service Availability
According to Airtel, postpaid users may also take advantage of the unlimited 5G data offer, which can be redeemed each month during bill generation. The unlimited 5G data is in addition to the current data allotment in the relevant prepaid and postpaid contracts. The deal is applicable for the life of the recharge validity or the billing term.
As per India Today, the offer does not permit data sharing via mobile hotspots and is only for personal, non-commercial usage.
