Students who have appeared for Karnataka state SSLC and II PUC board examination in 2015 will now get their results any time soon. Results for both exams are expected to be out within a week of one another.
Officials from the state board have given the tentative dates for SSLC and II PUC board examination results, anywhere from May 5 to May 10.
II Pre-University Certificate (PUC) examinations are equivalent to Class 12 exams and were held by the board between March 12 and March 27, 2014.
Karnataka state SSLC is conducted for Class 10 students, and this year the exams started on March 28 with the last paper completed on April 9.

According to the board officials, around 6 lakh candidates have appeared for Class 12 exams (II Pre-University Certificate), with a maximum of 2.5 lakh candidates in the arts stream.
The number of commerce stream is estimated around 2 lakhs, while an approximate 1.7 lakh candidates have appeared for the Science Stream papers.
As for the SSLC exams, the estimated numbers of 8.26 lakh students have appeared, with 41,269 candidates being repeat candidates. Overall, 7.62 lakh fresh students have appeared for the exams in 2014, of which 21,670 are private students.
Amidst speculations that the board is looking to scrap the SSLC and PUC exams, it has been confirmed that the exams will continue.
However, some major changes are expected in the syllabus, which the board intends to make in coming years to match with the CBSE Class-10 syllabus.
