If you can’t win an Oscar, how do you win? All-around wrestler-turned-actor-turned-legend John Cena did it without just any clothes at the 96th Academy Awards.
John Cena, who gave a funny performance as Merman Ken at the Oscars, made the event even funnier by presenting the Best Costume Design award on stage at the Oscars without clothes, explaining the importance of the clothes in the movie. “The Skit”, which featured Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel in a strictly supporting role, was an instant hit. This is what happened.
It all started when Jimmy Kimmel talked about the scorer who ran onto the stage at the 1974 Oscars and interrupted host David Niven. After a while, John Heenan poked his head in from the side and said he had changed his mind about repeating the scene. “You’re the worst,” Jimmy Kimmel muttered before handing the winner’s briefcase to a helpless John.
John Cena, while using as many envelopes as an audience member leaving the theater at the Dolby Theater during the Oscars, emerges sideways from the wings and walks towards the host’s microphone.
The lights came on when he announced the voters and when they came back John Cena was now wearing a nice toga and Jimmy Kimmel helped him in:
No more John Cena was finally able to open the envelope and declare the winner. Holly presented Waddington with the award for Best Costume Design for “The Bad Things”:
John Cena walked off the stage after getting a big thumbs up – so who hasn’t worn anything to shows and competitions yet? The photos below from the awards ceremony show her wearing the character bag she used to film a beautiful movie on screen (cover ready).
But John’s confidence and timing definitely belong to John Cena.
This clip from the movie shows that it takes more hands than Jimmy Kimmel to get John Cena into a hot shirt as the lights dim.

Back to Oppenheimer’s Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., He became the big winner of the night, receiving the best actor and best supporting actor awards. The film also brought Christopher Nolan the best film and Best Director awards. Emma Stone won the Best Actress award for the movie “Pity Thing”. Da’Vine Joy Randolph received the Best Supporting Actress award for “The Holdovers.”
