MG Windsor Pro Garners 8,000 Bookings in Just 24 Hours, Prices Revised

 The newly launched MG Windsor Pro has taken the Indian electric vehicle market by storm, securing an impressive 8,000 bookings within just 24 hours of its debut. JSW MG Motor India announced the overwhelming response, highlighting the growing demand for long-range EVs in the country.

MG Windsor Pro’s Record-Breaking Demand

The Windsor Pro, introduced on May 6, was initially priced at ₹17.49 lakh for the first 8,000 customers. However, due to the surge in demand, the company has now revised the price to ₹18.09 lakh. The EV is also available under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, allowing customers to purchase the vehicle at ₹13.09 lakh and pay ₹4.5/km for battery usage.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response, Rakesh Sen, Head of Sales at JSW MG Motor India, stated, “Within just 24 hours of opening bookings, we have received 8,000 reservations—an achievement that underscores the enduring popularity of the MG Windsor and further strengthens its position as a frontrunner in India’s EV landscape.”

Enhanced Features and Performance

The MG Windsor Pro is equipped with a 52.9 kWh battery pack, offering an extended range of 449 km per charge, compared to the standard Windsor EV’s 38 kWh battery and 331 km range. The vehicle retains its front-mounted electric motor, delivering 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.

Additionally, the Windsor Pro boasts Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), featuring lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking. Other notable upgrades include:

  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities
  • Powered tailgate for added convenience
  • Ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort
  • 135-degree reclining rear seats
  • 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • 9-speaker Infinity sound system
  • 360-degree camera for improved visibility
  • Digital key for seamless access
  • Six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for safety

With demand soaring, the MG Windsor Pro is set to redefine India’s EV landscape.
