‘An Honest Life’ Explores Class and Crime in Modern Sweden
Directed by Mikael Marcimain and based on Joakim Zander’s novel, ‘An Honest Life’ follows a disillusioned law student who becomes entangled with a group of anarchists. As he descends into a world of deception and danger, the line between justice and rebellion begins to blur.

Netflix’s Nordic Thriller Lineup Expands with ‘An Honest Life’
With the success of Nordic noir titles like ‘The Hunt for a Killer’ and ‘Blackwater’, Netflix continues to invest in Scandinavian storytelling. ‘An Honest Life’ adds to this trend, offering a gritty, character-driven narrative that challenges viewers to question the cost of freedom.
The cast also includes Peter Andersson and Nathalie Merchant, adding further depth to its ensemble. The poster, released today, features stark imagery that hints at the film’s themes of isolation and moral ambiguity.
